YENGKOPIONG (The Bari people spell it Yeŋkopioŋ), which literally means "living with water". In reality however, Yengkopiong means "one with the power to bring down rain". This name can be traced back to more than 100 years ago to the Lugör family. The story has it that Pitya lo Lugör had God-given power to bring down rain. This power was inherited in the successive generations. Thus, YENGKOPIONG appears to be one of the descendants of the Lugör family, but from the female side - Poni na Lugör.
