Clossen Pendleton was born on February 2, 1801, in Willimansett, Chicopee to Jesse Pendleton, 29 years old and his mother, Sabrina Chapin, was 21. He died on February 9, 1871, in Willimansett, Chicopee, Hampden, Masachusets, United States, at the age of 70, and was buried at Chicopee Street Burying Ground.

He married Delina Van Horn on February 12, 1828. hey were parents of at least three daughters.

Clossen owned a tavern on the opposite side of Joseph Griswold farther down the road.
