The game received mixed reviews. The aggregator website Metacritic lists a score of 66 (67 for Nintendo DS, out of 100) based on 4 reviews[1] (5 reviews for Nintendo DS[2]), a rating of "mixed or average reviews". IGN gave 7 points out of 10 points[4] and said "Considering how ho-hum a good number of the Minis are in the PlayStation-verse, I'd say Supermarket Mania is one of the better options you have (despite the price), especially if you like simple time management games that keep you on your toes.". Pocket Gamer gave 3.5 stars out of 5 stars[3] and said "Supermarket Mania is a little tedious at first, but casual players will enjoy the fast-paced action on offer.".
