Yosune Yáñez, also known as ‘NUNNE’, is a Mexican singer/songwriter. Her main music genres are alternative R&B and Indie. However, she has had a broad education and experimentation periods on other music genres, like rock, soul, jazz, rancheras, baroque, romantic and funk. Her education started in 2012 in ‘Casa de Arte Cantabile’ and continued to develop in important contemporary music schools, like ‘School of Rock’ and ‘MVS Music Centre’. So far, she has worked on and finished over 70 music pieces and released an album titled ‘NUNNE’ and 4 more singles. She has performed in at least 30 venues, including Chicago’s Lollapalooza (2017).
Education
[edit]NUNNE started her musical education at the young age of 11. She started off with both piano and singing lessons at ‘Casa de Arte Cantabile’ in Mexico City. As she began to develop her music skills, she started taking other lessons to complement the ones she already took; these new lessons included music theory, music business, music history and audio engineering. So far, she’s been part of important music schools such as The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, MVS Music Center, International School of Rock, and Recording Arts Canada.
Live Venues
[edit]During her career, NUNNE has had the chance to play in over 30 important venues around Mexico, U.S., and Canada. These venues include: Lollapalooza Chicago, The Knitting Factory, World Cafe Live, Hoosier Dome, Schubas, Sala Ollin Yoliztli, Centro cultural Helénico, RAC and many more.

Side Projects
[edit]NUNNE has been able to participate in other talented artists projects, like music videos, short films and music collabs. So far, she’s done the music to three short films (to be released before the end of 2020’s first semester), participated in Viky O’ Neon’s, ‘Hot Artt Project’, Casa de la Amistad and Saint Jude's Children’s Hospital fundraisers, and song collaborations with Raveless Music, DamnDa Music and Izahí.
