Edith Anderson from Money. Mississippi on Wildwood Plantation had a set of twins, Joe and Jeff. Jeff died as he was left in Memphis with an aunt. Joe also called Joey, was raised in Saint Louis, Missouri in the low rent district called the "Millcreek". He started singing at age four outside of the Telephone Company building on Locust st., a few blocks from downtown St. Louis. He and his brother Gene sang with a windup guitar as the women were leaving work for home. They collected donations in an old tin can they had painted silver, but never seemed to dry completely, lol.

     ↓Joey's dad was a hard working steel mill employee who was very responsible and very hansom but quite serious minded.  Joey started working at an early age.  He sold newspapers and shined shoes in bars in south St. Louis at between ages of 5 and 12 years old.  
Joey was the valecdictorian of his Vashon High School 1964 graduating class and went off to college on many scholarships, finishing his degree at Saint Louis University.  Went to work at McDonnel Douglas Aircraft Co. and Emerson Electric Co.  He moved to Los Angeles and luckily got his 1st movie job through Eddie Smith, a popular acting agent, who coincidently was also from St. Louis.  At one point in his teen life he was temporarily adopted by Opra Winfrey family member, Harold Lee, in Greenwood.
    ↓Joey "ZJ" Evans worked in Hollywood for years as an extra or a bit actor while making a great living teaching college math at L.A. Southwest College evening division and their outreach program.  Joey worked with and met many stars like Pam Grier, Rosie Grier, Red Foxx, Grady, "Dolomite" Rudy Ray Moore, Danny Davito whom he worked with in "Taxi" tv series.

Tha 'Lou", "Friends With Benefits", Message To The Badman", and "The Afrison Anthem"
