Climate ethics#Environmental ethics theories applied to climate disruption

Evaluate the drafted changes

[edit]
  • I feel like the opening two sentences of the lead section feel a bit repetitive. I would consider merging the two.
  • As you mention the dearth of climate ethics research in your lead section, you should probably elaborate more on the thinking around this absence in your article body.
  • Speaking generally, I would try to cite more sources to support your claims. For example, you write: “Climate ethicists note that the people who are most vulnerable to effects of climate change are those whose emissions have historically been the lowest…” Which climate ethicists note this? Do all climate ethicists share this opinion, or is it only some that adopt this ethical framework? Are there any competing ethical frameworks for considering climate change? I think that engaging with more sources could help you clarify some of these questions.
  • As it seems you intend to contrast the “international” and “intergenerational” ethics problems posed by climate change, I think it might be helpful to split the body into two subsections. This could help guide the article structure and give you the space to elaborate on each aspect sufficiently.
