Introduction

The Australian Computer Emergency Response Team or more commonly known as AusCERT is a not for profit organisation based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Formed in 1993, AusCERT is one of the oldest CERT teams in the world. The original name for AusCERT was SERT or Security Emergency Response Team and was a joint effort by The University of Queensland, Griffith and QUT. Since then, AusCERT has remained a part of UQ.

Conference

AusCERT holds an annual conference at the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia in May of each year. The conference is one of the largest for Information Security in Australia.
