Award-winning author Donoho, who also writes under pseudonyms Jessie Jayne Smith and J. M. Donoho, embraces new worlds. With one foot firmly planted in fuzzy science and the other in fantastical realms, she inhabits WHAT IF. Published in scientific fields as well as fiction, Janine pursues the thuds echoing in the night, then writes about those, too.

With her intrepid guy, sighthounds and tuxedo cat, she makes her home in the spectacular highlands of Okanogan County in eastern Washington State. There Donoho writes daily, plays with visual art, choreographs, dances, and putters in her garden where she ponders the underpinnings of life.
