Carmel Secondary School (Chinese: 迦密中學) is an EMI (English-medium education) secondary school located in Homantin, Hong Kong. It is also a Christian fundamentalism co-educational school. Founded by Evangelical School Development Incorporation Ltd. in 1964, the aim is to create a English learning environment with an all-round Christian education. [1]
History
[edit]Carmel Secondary School was founded by Evangelical School Development Incorporation Limited in 1964 with the original name 'Carmel English School'. It was the first school founded by Evangelical School Development Incorporation Limited, a non-profit organization.[2] The school was located on 7 Carmel Village Street until 1975, the current address is 55 Chung Hau St, Homantin, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The old campus is still currently owned by the school. Prefect team and student union of Carmel Secondary School were established in 1965 and 1986 respectively. Student union is formed by students and an election will be held annually.
