Introduction:

Brave Space Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting marginalized communities through collaboration, knowledge exchange, and community-sourced resources. They established the Brave Space Alliance on the South Side of Chicago. Brave Space Alliance is led by the LGBTQ+ community, and they provide supportive, culturally relevant resources, programming, and services.

Brave Space Alliance provides the LGBTQ+ community with a primary focus on BIPOC transgender and gender-nonconforming (TGNC) individuals, who are among the most marginalized and vulnerable. Most programs, services, and resources for BIPOC TGNC individuals provide temporary fixes without addressing the root problems. As BIPOC individuals with trans experience, they believe they are the best authorities in their own lives and can identify their needs. Community members are involved in developing and implementing all programming, services, and resources at Brave Space Alliance.
