I am choosing cyberinfrastructure for my article.

Here is the link to the page I chose:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberinfrastructure

I am reviewing the article cyberinfrastructure. This article has five sections including: origin, examples, see also, references, and external links. This is a relatively small article, as there are only three sections containing actual content. All of the information does seem to have appropriate citations leading to reliable sources, however the last paragraph did seem a bit suspicious. The last paragraph contains two lists without citations. That is a substantial amount of information that is not accounted for.

The one thing in this article that distracted me was the direct quote from Jeffrey Hunker. This didn’t really seem to relate to the content around it and the overall idea of the article. The quote basically city that this country has had some issues with cybersecurity in the past and is very rapidly advancing in the technological sector. It seemed like the quote was just there to add fluff.

The article does seem pretty neutral because it doesn’t have any opinions or biases. The page is straight forward and is strictly fact based information. The citations also seem neutral. Many of the sources do come from government sources and seem like reliable sources that one can trust. The only one concern I had about the sources is that several of them were from the same website. The website was called WayBack Machine, which is a .gov website, however the article should have had more diverse sources. Also the links all do seem to work and their I did not catch any signs of plagiarism.

For the most part this article seemed factually correct with proper citations and reliable resources. Most of the citations were from sources written within the last ten years, which makes sense because this page is written about a relatively recent topic. The content flowed smoothly and made sense. In addition, the article was useful in informing me about cyberinfrastructure. Overall, this is a well put together article except for its elaboration. Like I mentioned before, this article is pretty short. This page could use more details on the subject and could add more sections relating to cyberinfrastructure. For example, I think it would have been useful to include a section on how cyberinfrastructure is influencing our society today. It was nice to hear the history and current examples of cyberinfrastructure, but it would have been helpful to see how cybersecurity may be affecting businesses, global relations and recreational internet usage.

The next article I am choosing to edit is Fake news websites in the United States. This is a very relevant topic due to the current election, yet there is very little elaboration on the topic. I would like to add an interesting statistic I found, which is very relevant to the topic.
