Kecksburg is an independent American science fiction horror film currently in production. It is directed by Cody Knots and written by Cody Knots and Vincent Ruffalo. Co produced by Emily Lapisardi, Andrea Ogden and Vince Ruffalo. A fictionalized account of a the Kecksburg UFO incident that took place in Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, December 9th, 1965. The movie stars Szonja Oroszlán and Lisa Wilcox. The story follows the populace of a small town as a 'fireball' that reportedly flew over 6 US states and Canada lands in the nearby forest.
The inspiration for the film came from writer Cody Knots love of American Folklore and local legends. Knots also directed Gore Orphanage (2015)and Pro Wrestlers vs Zombies (2014). Production began in 2017 with filming starting in April of 2018. filmed on Kecksburg pa and West Virginia.
