The first article that I have chosen as a source will provide information regarding the odds that go into payouts in sports betting. This will help add credibility to the article and hopefully provide a way to simplify the complicated and less popular words in the Wikipedia sports betting article. This source goes into the positive side of betting, and how a gambler can turn a profit from risking money on sports events.
The next source examines bias affecting gambling and success rate. This article will help me look at what type of gambler will be successful and what type of gambling will lead to a higher rate of success. Between different types of bets, such as money line, spread, and parlay, people like throwing money on bets that will pay them the most money although usually that is just wasting your money.
Using a source that looks past gambling affecting only fans and players can be helpful will finding a neutral spot to describe the entirety of sports betting. This article takes a closer look at how sports administrators take advantage of sports betting. The source can give me a complete and inclusive view of the effects and allow me to add neutrality to the article and remove the bias.
My next source will explain the development of gambling as a whole which led to modern betting as we know it. This article will allow me to add trustworthy background information to the Wikipedia page in order to clarify and verify the information that is already present.
The last source I have chosen takes a look specifically at modern day betting. With internet access, bookkeepers are able to accept bets from across the nation on a daily basis. The existence of this daily gambling affects every game that happens now, as players and fans know that money rides on every play of every game.
