Hello, I'm a german Wikipedia author and want to contribute to Wikipedia in other languages.

Gill[edit]

Thanks for taking on the article. it is quite awful and in need of quite a bit of tender loving care. I did a look for sources in english language books.google.com and came up pretty empty. if there are french and german sources that can be brought into play that will be great. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 01:38, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

While there is no /article/ at James Gill, there is what we call a disambiguation - it is a type of page we use when there are multiple potential subjects of the same name. Given the paucity of third party materials about the artist James Gill, it is unlikely that the majority of people looking for "James Gill" are expecting to find content about an artist - there is equal likelihood that they are looking for one of the other James Gills and so we list them off for the reader to determine where they want to go. Disambiguation link notification for January 18[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Dan Pyle, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Washington State and Realism. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
