WHY

Why Thailand had flag and Vietnam not??

Momodou Ceesay

Are you sure that he in fact scored vs Burkina Faso, CAF[1] AllAfrica.com[2] and many other sources say that Oumar Jawo was a scorer. I see that you wrote about it on nationalfootballteams.com forum however without providing any proofs, but they changed the scorer. Could you tell me why you so strongly claim that Ceesay was a scorer? About U17 caps, have you got a lineups from 2005 African U-17 Championship, or you just assume that he played in all tournament matches?--Oleola (talk) 15:46, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No it shouldn't be, BBC's report looks like based only on result from some livescore portal. I found an interview with Omar Jawo in which he confirmed that he scored a goal in this match[3]. About screen shot, Burkinabe TV which produced a signal could confuse players, therefore livescore worldwide media pointed to Ceesay as a scorer and local African journalists who watched the game and wrote reports pointed to Jawo. But this is only my guess. About U17 caps we can't be sure that he played in first match, wikipedia is not a crystal ball therefore I must remove these stats, after all they're likely incomplete as he probably played also in friendlies.--Oleola (talk) 20:06, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Japan national football team

Hi. But don't appearances in Olympic matches/qualifiers count as caps at under-23 level, rather than senior level? That said, if the JFA themselves consider them to be senior appearances, then maybe that's gravy. Think this would be worthwhile being discussed at WP:FOOTY. You've applied the changes to the page, but haven't added any sources - are there none available? The existing RSSSF page lists Kamamoto's caps/goals (84/80), but there's nothing backing up the players in the "Most Caps" and "Top Goalscorers" tables. Disambiguation link notification

Hi. When you recently edited Salomon Kalou, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cabinda (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
