I'm the same user. I'm just using this account because it's semi-protected. There are a lot of Wikipedia articles that don't have any sources it just gets a warning at the start of the page. And the X Factor people just aren't very smart.
She Ain't You
It's becoming more and more difficult determining singles now! I've seen quite a few articles with people fighting over whether a song is a single or not. Singles that are already available to download directly from albums aren't released separately in the UK now as there is no reason for the labels to do so. However, "She Ain't You" is still being pushed at radio. I've seen a few articles promote 'Impact dates' rather than 'Release dates'. I've added a part to the article which explains that it is being 'promoted' as the fourth single in the UK, rather than 'released'. TopopMAC1 (talk) 06:38, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
- You've missed my point. I added sources confirming it's receiving airplay i.e. promotion in the UK. Those sources should stay in the article. It's being PROMOTED as a single... much like Beyonce's "Countdown" and other singles in the UK. It's not been 'released' as a single but it's being promoted via video and radio airplay and it's charted! Call it a promotional single here if you will. Take Care talk page
Would you mind adding your two cents to Talk:Take_Care#Downtempo? User:Journalist is going off on removing a genre that is sourced, claiming it is not a genre, offering no support of his assertion, giving me the ultimatum when he's the one making a controversial removal, and putting the burden on me. Dan56 (talk) 05:52, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the input. I have another inquiry. A recent editor to Take Care suggested that "An asterisk is used to denote a co-producer", reverting my change of the (co.) in smallscript to an asterisk and additional production (add.) to ^. Is this an actual convention, or an unconstructive format change, since it's smaller and less clear? Dan56 (talk) 07:16, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
Beyoncé
Only 'I Was Here' and 'End of Time' will be released. They are Beyoncé's promotional singles. And if you don't agree with 'End of Time' being a music video, then consider 'I Was Here' because it really is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.55.36.184 (talk) 05:46, 17 November 2011 (UTC)
Don't Worry Be Happy
Ok. Thanks for the heads up. JayJ47 (talk) 00:52, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
It is currently on hold for seven days to address all issues. Thanks! —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 13:10, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
