US Airways

[edit]

Please understand that there are still about 12 more hours of US Airways operations remaining. Please stop changing airports that you have not touched. HkCaGu (talk) 17:14, 16 October 2015 (UTC) -Answered[reply]

MCO

[edit]

We have had discussions on WT:AIRPORT. MCO should say "Orlando-International". HkCaGu (talk) 15:33, 18 October 2015 (UTC) -Answered[reply]

Hi. you better stop editing at the moment, until this situation is resolved, because people are talking about closing the project.
I think it's largely a misunderstanding, but you can make it worse if you say the wrong things.
First: I think the big problem is your and WP's definition of "reference". When a service is active, you have said you don't need a reference anymore. Ok, I understand that you don't need that message anymore, but how do you know that the service is active, where can you see that? If you have a webadres where you can check that, then that is a reference!!!!!!!
You never said that in the AN/I, that you could check which routes were active, but I assume that's something you can find on the website from the airport, or the FAA or something like that? It's important that you understand that: if you can see that 10 services are active, then the site where you see that is your refernce for those 10 services.
At the moment they are talking about closing the project, because they think that it is using other rules and doesn't follow the WP policy. Think before you post, remember, these people have been here for 5 or 10 years, if they think that a new user, or a project, feels like it doesn't have to follow the policies, they will put a stop to it.
Another point: you should stop writing in your edit summaries that "references aren't needed". Stop your updating for now, because that would make a very bad impression, you continuing while this is going on.
You best read up on WP:RS en WP:V; After that reread the AN/I discussion and see where you and them were talking about different things. And watch your language, saying that someone hasn't edited airports and doesn't understand it, is not a smart thing to do, because they can end the project, and they aren't happy at the moment.
You can/should NEVER write that references are not needed, or that they can be removed. The project has to follow the wikipedia policy, and WP policy states that everything must be verifiable, and that everything likely to be challenged must be sourced, and a source must be provided when someone challenges it.
In other words, any editor can add a [citation needed] to a destination, or to all of them, and if you don't add a reference they will delete it. That is the policy, and there's nothing you can do to change it.
I've been awake for days now, too long, hope this makes sense... Ssscienccce (talk) 05:24, 24 October 2015 (UTC) -Answered[reply]

CVG-PIT

[edit]

The flights have been showing up on and off on Delta.com, and currently one will operate in October 30 and November 25. I think for now, it is operating, on a limited basis, which is why I changed it to seasonal. I think if the November 25 date passes, and no other dates are added, it should be removed. Most of the online sources are referenced from an original report by CVG, not Delta, and Delta never announced it was cutting the flight. Until these infrequent flights end, then it is okay to remove, and also, it is still listed on DL's route map.Stinger20 (talk) 02:31, 30 October 2015 (UTC) -Answered[reply]
