Information icon Hello, I'm FlightTime. Concerning your recent edit(s) to the page Hash Pipe, only cover versions/renditions important enough to have gained attention in their own right should be added to song articles. Merely appearing in an album track listing, a discography, etc., is not sufficient to show that a cover version is noteworthy. Cover songs with only these types of sources should not be added to song articles, either as prose or in a list. Further information can be reviewed at WP:COVERSONG. If you still believe your edit should stand, please open a discussion on the article's talk page and seek consensus. Thank you. - FlightTime (open channel) 18:02, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon Do not use multiple IP addresses to disrupt Wikipedia. Such attempts to avoid detection or circumvent the blocking policy will not succeed. You are welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia but your recent edits have been reverted or removed. If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia you may be blocked from editing without further notice. - FlightTime (open channel) 18:04, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Hash Pipe; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - FlightTime (open channel) 18:06, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

WP:GOODFAITH. Please do not make accusations.

  • Wikipedia allows anonymous edits
  • I did not add the cover song, it was added by Special:Contributions/177.105.198.168.
    • My edits generally come from an IP range starting with 109. (and I've made a few to the article already)
  • I sincerely believe the other anon editor made a fair edit
    • The second Consequences of Sound reference is an article from a music website(magazine?) which I think meets the WP:NOTABLE requirements.
  • I believe it is fair to ask editors to follow the WP:SIMPLE rules and provide a meaningful edit summary
  • I believe WP:BRD allows me to challenge a bold edit/bold delete and ask for discussion.

I also don't believe you can claim that was 2 reverts until after a proper edit summary was provided, so after only 1 legit revert I don't understand why you are accusing anyone of disruptive editing. I would appreciate if any relevant replies were on the article Talk page. -- 109.79.85.214 (talk) 18:14, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
