Information icon Hello, I'm HMSLavender. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Parliament of Malaysia, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 02:38, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Next election date 115.132.106.168 (talk) 02:41, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's the problem - you did not provide a source that verifies the new election date - a news article should be enough. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 02:50, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Even in the website it says November 30 2027 115.132.106.168 (talk) 02:53, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Which website? The official portal of the Malaysian parliament states "Parliament will be dissolved and within sixty (60) days from the date of its dissolution, a General Election has to be held to elect representatives for the House of Representatives"[1] This is in accordance with Clauses 3 and 4 of Article 55 of the Federal Constitution, which states "Parliament unless sooner dissolved, shall continue for five years from the date of its first meeting and shall then stand dissolved" and "Whenever Parliament is dissolved a general election shall be held within sixty days from the date of the dissolution and Parliament shall be summoned to meet on a date not later than one hundred and twenty days from that date".[2]
The first meeting of the current parliament was on 19th December 2022.[3][4] Five years and 60 days from that date is 17th February 2028.[5] Sisuvia (talk) 07:29, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
