[edit]Hello, I'm Technopat. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Technopat (talk) 11:17, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
- Hi again. Thank you for your note. First of all, as to why you should insinuate that there is/was any motive other than the one expressed by the standard template I added above, well, that has nothing to do with me. I did not dispute "that fact". I merely removed it, pointing out that, as with any other "fact" or content added to this encyclopedia, it needed to be accompanied by a reliable source. Standard Wikipedia procedure. No hidden agenda (which is what you seem to insinuate).
- Secondly, what you consider "a clear falsehood which..." is more likely down to a common occurence on what is probably the vast majority of articles here, a project that exists mainly because many people volunteer their spare time to it: stuff needs updating, especially stuff related to current affairs. No hidden agenda.
- Which brings me to my final point: "if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners." Couldn't be clearer. In fact, I'm sure you'd actually have spent less time simply adding the source from which you obtained "the fact" than the time it took you to leave me a message. This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
