Your edits to November 3[edit]

Dear 131.181.251.67,
Information.svg Some of your edits on the page November 3 have been undone by PseudoBot, a robot built to keep the date pages tidy. The problems are:

The person you added doesn't seem to have a Wikipedia page.

If the page exists, check that you've spelled and capitalized the name the same way as the article, and try again. If it doesn't yet exist, read this page carefully before creating it. In particular, you shouldn't create a page about yourself or anyone you know personally. If this bot has got it wrong (as can unfortunately happen), please accept its author's apologies, and (if you would like) leave a message on this talk page with the details, so it can be improved. Please see this page for help. PseudoBot (talk) 07:37, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Information.svg In a recent edit, you changed one or more words from one international variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For subjects exclusively related to Britain (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to other English-speaking countries, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the appropriate variety of English used there. If it is an international topic, use the same form of English the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to the other, even if you don't normally use the version the article is written in. Respect other people's versions of English. They in turn should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. If you have any queries about all this, you can ask me on my talk page or you can visit the help desk. Thank you. Shadowjams (talk) 05:05, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

I am a user of Wikipedia, I am just not logged in. I know the Wikipedia style thing. Certain variations of English are to be used if the page requires it, e.g. British English for a page about Britain. Metre is the officially recognised standard, the spelling was derived from the French who invented the metric system. America doesn't even use it so there is no reason to use the American spelling. 131.181.251.67 (talk) 05:08, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
