Spelling of Greek words[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to various Greek food articles. I see that you have changed the English spelling from the conventional versions (e.g. gigantes) to a more phonetic version (yigantes). I can understand this, but the policy of the English-language Wikipedia is to use the most common English spelling if there is one, and not a more phonetic or more systematic version: "do not substitute a systematically transliterated name for the common English form of the name, if there is one". Could you please revert back to the previous versions? Thanks, -s --Macrakis (talk) 22:54, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
