The best of the three sources is the one I added. It addresses the subject in detail, and even the subject of the book is closely related to it. Therefore, it is the one that must be followed. And according to the wiki article of French Algeria, the status of Algeria between 1830 and 1848 was a "French colony". 196.68.201.116 (talk) 14:44, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's not the best nor are we comparing it to just the ones that are cited (there are others such as this one). Algeria wasn't officially annexed by France until 1848 (the French Wikipedia is not a reliable source and even if it was a colony, it still wouldn't change anything to fact that it wasn't French at that time).
