I made an edit to the Mustang page a few days ago eliminating references to the improperly held belief that the P-51D/K's wing thickness was increased to accommodate the upright positioning of the M2s. No such change was required or implemented. The Mustangs airfoil thickness/chord was unchanged through the P-51/A/B/C/D/K models, the only change being the extended inboard leading edge of the D/K. The canted gun installation of the P-51A/B/C was a holdover from the P-51/Mustang I's 20mm installation, which did require the cant to fit. See the following document:

Also, I updated the figures in the Experimental section for Mustang III FX858/Merlin 100's numbers to reflect the data from the actual A&AEE Boscombe Down test report, AVIA_732_Report_781c_Part_08 dated May 1944 as opposed to Gruenhaugen's account, source documents being preferred.
