[edit]

Information icon Hi 2001:8003:9008:1301:B41E:39A7:FFC3:AFA5! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Nordic countries several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Nordic countries, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. TylerBurden (talk) 12:38, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Hi Tyler, my edits weren't pure vandalisms, nor did they spread any false or misleading information. They were written in good faith and I did make a small adjustment in my second edit. You've written "not an improvement" and "disruptive editing" as the reason for your reverts which is quite a subjective statement. I will adjust my edit again and insert an edit summary as an explanation, hopefully we could resolve the dispute (if any) this time. 2001:8003:9008:1301:B41E:39A7:FFC3:AFA5 (talk) 12:57, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, not saying your edits are vandalism, the disruptive editing is you continuing to insert the material even though there is disagreement. Please discuss it on the talk page of the article. --TylerBurden (talk) 13:03, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
To add, I would strongly suggest you do not continue with these edits for now before discussing it as you seem to intend to do based on your reply. You've changed things and provided zero explanation for it in your edit summaries so far, don't edit war which never leads to good outcomes. Discuss it on the talk page. --TylerBurden (talk) 13:15, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Could you at least mention the "material" you were referring to in your edit summary? I've just made another edit in good faith. If you still disagree with me, please raise your concern in the talk page. Thank you. 2001:8003:9008:1301:B41E:39A7:FFC3:AFA5 (talk) 13:26, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I mean in the article talk page, not my talk page. 2001:8003:9008:1301:B41E:39A7:FFC3:AFA5 (talk) 13:27, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You mean the talk page I told you to start a discussion on several edits ago? Per WP:BRD the ONUS is on you to start a discussion about any disputed content, not me. It also seems you are putting words in my mouth, I never mentioned any ″material″ in my summaries nor did I ever bring up vandalism or ″false or misleading information″. I see that you made the edit again, without starting any discussion. I would revert but you've provided a good explanation this time at least, edit summaries are useful like that because it makes it clear to others what you're actually doing. I'll have to take a better look at it but I'm not going to revert you for now. --TylerBurden (talk) 13:35, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your comment. Good suggestions are always welcome. I realized that I should have inserted an edit summary for my previous edits, but I think the purpose of that WP:BRD rule you've quoted is acting as a guidance to encourage people making good faith edits. I made my edits in good faith, if you don't like my edits, at least you should give me a detailed explanation when you revert my work, otherwise, I wouldn't know what was wrong with my edit and I wouldn't know how to improve my edit either. 2001:8003:9008:1301:B41E:39A7:FFC3:AFA5 (talk) 13:48, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I reckon the BRD is more there to prevent edit wars and instead foster discussion and cooperation rather than conflict. I don't doubt your edits were made in good faith, and it's fair to say my own edit summaries were quite vague as well. But thank you for being civil about it all, edit summaries are important because they can easily prevent misunderstandings and without them changes can be very unclear. Happy continued editing mate. --TylerBurden (talk) 14:03, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
