Your edits[edit]

I can see that you are in an edit war with another editor. You should both stop editing the articles in question and seek to resolve the matter on the article talk pages, else you will be violating Wikipedia's three-revert rule. Mato (talk) 17:15, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I said stop reverting edits, or you will be banned. Mato (talk) 17:21, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As I have indicated in the edit summary, SchmuckyTheCat is committing simple vandalism, and in most of his edits, vandalising Wikipedia to make a point. 218.250.142.19 (talk) 17:24, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Regardless of who is right or wrong, you've been reported for violating the three-revert rule, depsite being warned twice. Mato (talk) 17:31, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reminder. But as far as I understand, the 3RR rule doesn't apply for combating vandalism, am I right? 218.250.142.19 (talk) 17:33, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't apply for combating obvious vandalism, such as page-blanking and offensive language. These edits are not obvious vandalism - it is an edit war, and therefore WP:3RR applies. Sorry. Mato (talk) 17:35, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Could you please instruct me where exactly should I bring him to, and to make sure that he would agree to revert his edits to the status quo ante bellum? 218.250.142.19 (talk) 17:37, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

May 2011[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on multiple pages and templates. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Alan the Roving Ambassador (talk) 17:32, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Thank you very much for the reminder. Please kindly look into the vandalistic edit that SchmuckyTheCat has committed. Thanks again for your kind and considerate concern. 218.250.142.19 (talk) 17:34, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
