Edit war, and BLP - Warning.[edit]

1st, welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you will learn a bit more, make an account, settle in, and make lots and lots of helpful edits.

However, you have not gotten off to a great start. I will add a block of links below that I was given a long time ago now and I have found quite useful (though some, now, are a bit dated).

2nd, the wp:3RR is very important, as is wp:edit warring. Also important are the exceptions to 3RR. One is any form of violation of the rules for adding biographical content about a living person: wp:BLP. Your actions indicate that you don't understand these things.

For example, claiming anyone **WHO MUST REMAIN FIRMLY NAMELESS!!!!** a racist and citing evidence however compelling to you at www.freeimagehosting.net would be a Bad Thing. Repeatedly adding it will get you blocked from editing. Adding it when someone has reverted it out explaining why it must stay out is Very Bad indeed.

This is a very serious matter, and you should consider this a very serious warning.

All the best.sinneed (talk) 04:01, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Calling someone a racist isn't libel. Intentionally misstating facts is libel. Characterizing Joseph Farah as a racist is, at worst, an opinion statement you disagree with. Please brush up on your policies (and grammar) before lecturing me again. Also, please don't make the assumption that just because I"m editing as an IP address that I'm new to Wikipedia. Judging from your list of contributions, I'd say that I predate you. 24.160.240.250 (talk) 06:08, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Violating wp:BLP does not require libel. Your edit is no good, as it is controversial and unsourced. No, that isn't a wp:RS for calling someone a racist. One of the disadvantages of editing from an account with no history... is that it is an account with no history. *shrug* You may reply here or on my page, as you choose. I'll reply to posts here, here, and those there, there. And yeah, that "Repeatedly adding..." sentence is bizarre. Sorry about that. But I bet you understood.sinneed (talk) 06:23, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Information.svg Regarding your comments on User talk:Sinneed: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. "Unfortunately, everyone at wikipedia is so scared ... Shame on you; grow a pair" is not appropriate. Don't do it again. sinneed (talk) 06:31, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Closing response (hopefully) to the "check yourself before you wreck yourself" section on my talk page: No problem. I truly have no concerns you need to address. I have let you know what you have done that is not acceptable, why it was unacceptable, and pointed you in directions where you can learn more. It is unfortunate that you find my responses not to your liking, and I was a bit bad with the "cutesy" and "mind reading" things. Hope all goes well for you in the new year. sinneed (talk) 07:32, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
