June 2015[edit]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you purposefully and blatantly harass a fellow Wikipedian again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Bbb23 (talk) 14:51, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for attempting to harass other users. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 14:56, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
This blocked user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

While the 48 hour block isn't too irrational, the basis seem little more than obtuseness and that of WP administrator sticking up for interwiki administrator regardless of merits of the case. Because of this, I'll edit Wikipedia under another IP address, or addresses, and the like. Good morning.24.36.54.238 (talk) 15:03, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
  1. understand what you have been blocked for,
  2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
  3. will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Huon (talk) 15:05, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired.

2 minutes to decide. How typical and terse.   :-)   24.36.54.238 (talk) 15:07, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

Request reason:

I was warned less than a minute before my last edit to the subject's page. I will no longer edit his talk page, refer to him, nor edit what he was edited—on WP—at least for, say, 3 months, after that the chances of incidental crossing paths is possible. If this page is blocked for me, not only will I use other IP addresses I occasionally use and the like, but I will use them to evade the current WP block—of which I'm not, at present, intending to do. I'm sure you are acquainted with Wikipedia:What adminship is not Good morning.24.36.54.238 (talk) 15:39, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Threats are not a good way to prove sincerity. Kuru (talk) 16:27, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

The "threat," if you wish to call it that—I say warning—was against those thinking of blocking this page from me, and as I later thought about it, extending this 48 hour block. But I see my request was again declined. How, again, predictable. Oh well, at least in less than 41 hours this block will expire and I will be back to using this IP for occasional edits. Cheers.24.36.54.238 (talk) 22:31, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

A message from Anna[edit]

Maybe this is all a misunderstanding that got blown out of proportion.

It seems to be about what you describe as a good faith commons edit to a picture you mention in this edit. Could we get to the bottom of this? Was your edit inappropriate? Did you feel the reaction was too harsh?

I see from you some rudeness and also some polite attempts to seek the admin's understanding.

Tell me what is going on and maybe I can help. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:02, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for your reaching out, but as per my above comments, I will not talk (i.e. no longer) about that particular user here in WP. Is there another interwiki or place we can talk, i.e. where such discussion is permitted? Wikicommons, of course, is out as this IP I'm using has been blocked until 6 September 2015.24.36.54.238 (talk) 23:19, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi. Thanks for the reply. I am afraid, for transparency, this is the only place.
To me, you do not actually seem like a bad person or a troll or anything. You sound like a normal person who feels insulted and treated with an overreaction. Your edits seem constructive. I am not sure about the commons image edit that got all this started. If you did something dumb there, well, welcome to the club. Anyway, this project is sooooo huge that you are bound to bump into someone who can really make you feel upset.
So, where to go from here? You could register. Your IP shows Ontario. I'm Canadian and lived in Toronto for a decade. Sorry about the 2014–15 Toronto Maple Leafs season. :( Oh, right, registering. You actually show experience, like you had an account before.
Anyhow, so step one is to disengage from INeverCry because, well, that probably won't end in satisfaction. Carrying on a fight is beneath you, right? It reminds me of that great Larson: "...It takes a big man to cry. But it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man..." Actually, that is totally irrelevant, but it is funny. :) More applicable is Walter's "...$#%$# it, Dude, let's go bowling."
So, right, sit out the commons block for a few months. Sit out this IP block and then register or just continue to edit constructively as this IP. What do you think? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:52, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
