FYI (?)

[edit]

This isn't a warning, just a question since I've noticed how many movie pages you've created. You are sure that all of these are confirmed movies right? You seem to be new here so I just wanted to make sure you knew about WP:CRYSTAL and that we don't add future information unless it's 99% established. But if these movies are all confirmed and established for the most part, disregard this and continue the great work. Happy editing. :) -WarthogDemon 23:59, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have to add that you seem to be cutting and pasting a lot of your plot summaries from IMDb. IMDb retains copyright over its content, so unless you wrote them yourself for that site, copying them to Wikipedia is likely to be in breach of copyright law, and because of this I've deleted several of them. If you do own the copyright then please accept my apologies.

Regarding the number of films you've written about, you may find the page Wikipedia:Notability (films) useful in deciding which films are worth including in Wikipedia. Especially note that "articles on films that have not yet been publicly released (either theatrically or direct-to-video) are generally not appropriate unless the production of the film is itself notable in some way". If you don't include a hint as to why the films are more noteworthy than the average unreleased film, you may find that many articles proposed for deletion. This is not a comment on the quality of the articles or the films themselves, just an application of the policy that Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information and seeks to be selective about what it covers.

Welcome once again; I hope that this information is useful and that you enjoy editing Wikipedia. Iain99 08:55, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Crazy Eights (film), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Crazy Eights (film) is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Crazy Eights (film), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Friday Night (CCR Song)

[edit]

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Friday Night (CCR Song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
