There is NO any reliable source that confirms that Hans Conried actually auditioned for the role of Stefan. Yes, he did demo recording for the deleted song, but it is not a confirmation that he was an actual choice for the role, he could just be around the studio at the time they did this recording. Bob Thomas' book so far is the only thing that tells about the process of casting for this character, so that's why it's here. Thomas was a Disney historian and worked closely with the studio back in times when Walt Disney was alive, how can he be an unreliable source??? You thinking that Holmes' casting was "horrible mistake" is your personal opinion, but here you can work only with confirmed facts. Finally, I've been watching your comments on Conried's involvement with Sleeping Beauty since Disney Wiki, and not gonna lie, you have some serious unhealthy obsession with this topic.
