We have a Wikipedia page that recently has been edited with false information by someone from outside of our company. When we went to fix the information, it appears that we’ve been blocked. How can we blocked from a page that belongs to us, yet random people are able to go into our page and add false information?
Hello! I’m “E.” I just happened to stumble across an acquaintance’s Wikipedia page, and it’s missing some interesting (positive) information. I thought I would try to add it, but apparently, my IP address is blocked. I’m shocked. Once in the past, I tried to add a bit of information to a Wikipedia article. (It was an additional reference to a particular movie in popular culture.) Otherwise, I’m stranger to this process. I’m quite certain I have done nothing to deserve a block. “Vandalism?” Hardly! Anyway, if someone wants to add this: the Wikipedia page is about BOBBY BURGESS. Under the heading “Later in Life,” add this: “Bobby also serves as the Dance Master for the Palos Verdes Assembly, a dance/ etiquette/ public service organization serving Palos Verdes Peninsula High School, Palos Verdes High School, and the Chadwick School.” Citation: http://pvassembly.org/c_dance_master.aspx
That’s it. Life-changing stuff. September 17, 2023.
