[edit]

Hello I recently noticed your revision on Chad McQueen where you removed sourced content and references without adequately explaning why. From history of that article it looks like you are edit warring on that article which is against Wikipedia policy and may get you blocked from editing Wikipedia. If you think i made a mistake, you can reach me on my talk page. Vedant Katyayan (talk) 19:36, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Vedant. Yes, you have made a mistake. This inclusion is blatant advertising for Cobra Kai. McQueen was never on the show and it was never a part of his life. There has been no vandalism on my part and the people you should look to regarding edit warring are those who continue to add it in. The information has already been detailed on the appropriate page ("List of The Karate Kid and Cobra Kai Characters", "Dutch"). 2600:8800:4197:9400:28C7:8E31:7EE0:2F85 (talk) 22:13, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have explained the reasons for the removal, time and time again. Please be respectful and do the research rather than making assumptions and threatening me.
My edits are neither disruptive nor are they an act of vandalism. Please do not make any further false accusations towards me. 2600:8800:4197:9400:28C7:8E31:7EE0:2F85 (talk) 04:22, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Chad McQueen. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Nick Levine (talk) 04:11, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Chad McQueen. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 05:31, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this message is not being sent to all parties involved in the editing of the Chad McQueen page, then that is bias and abuse of power on the part of any moderators involved. Perception is not everything. I can just as easily accuse the other editors of being disruptive.
I have, repeatedly, provided valid reasons for the removal of information that has no purpose on Chad McQueen's page other than to advertise for the show Cobra Kai. Just because multiple fans of the show agree that this advertisement should remain on the page does not make them right. If you sincerely believe me to be guilty of edit warring, then they are equally as guilty. Additionally, I have yet to see one of them defend its inclusion with an actual argument. Rather, they have resorted to simply reversing my edit and falsely accusing me of vandalism. 2600:8800:4197:9400:28C7:8E31:7EE0:2F85 (talk) 06:47, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Acroterion (talk) 11:11, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
