Decade-old circulation figures

[edit]

Like most newspapers, the Star-Advertiser is content to let Wikipedia stick with 10-year-old circulation figures. On average, newspapers have lost half or more of their paid circulation during that time. Many companies try to plump up the numbers with "unique visits" to websites, but that generates no advertising revenue beyond pennies. Most newspapers no longer disclose circulation. But leaving those 2012 figures in the box is just inaccurate.
