Information icon Hello, I'm Thanoscar21. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on The Buttertones, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanoscar21talk, contribs 22:32, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Regarding revert

[edit]

Hello, as you know, Wikipedia has a very strict policy on biographies of living people. This came out of the Siegenthaler controversy, and he was accused of murder. Charging someone with rape is kind of a serious accusation, so you'll probably need a better source than The Brooklyn Vegan. You can read about what Wikipedia considers a reliable source here. Thank you! Thanoscar21talk, contribs 22:48, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Understandable. A recent source has come up by buzzbands.la, which covered the story and is a source that can be seen already in the references of the band's page and has been reliable thus far. I understand the serious implications of what is being said but this has been proven (thus far) to be a truthful statement, as unfortunate as it is. I understand your concern.
