My name is Dana Parkhurst, and I arrived on the Belknap Jan.5 1980, my neck was 1623 which was DATA LINK TECHNICIAN, my equipment was USQ-36, ANSSW1D aircraft control set. Also crypto. Admiral Chang's chief of staff contacted our cpu room apps 2 am. Another ship had been down for several weeks and I was asked how well I can do my job. I was quite boastful. I had their system up in 3 hrs. Ken Stressel had been aboard at this time but substantially shorter time but well knowledge in his duties. They ( Flag staff personnel ) apparently followed my system then Secretary of the Navy came aboard for special ceremony where as Lt. Schuller accepted the award on behalf of our Division. I have only my dd2 214, that show my equipment I maintained. I can only provide mine as I've had no contact with Ken Stressel for years but he was also responsible from when he arrived on board.

So let me start by saying that I know Wikipedia can be a maze of new policies for new users to navigate, I'm not really that great with remembering all of them myself despite on again-off again edits for a few months now. But in general if you are going to add material to an article you need to WP:CITE a WP:RS source, to satisfy our WP:Reliability policy, honestly it's probably best to ask your questions at the WP:Teahouse, just click the link, as they can offer significantly more experienced advice than I can, best 2601:5CC:8301:FD00:501E:F2B5:AF3A:C27F (talk) 03:51, 2 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
