Edits to Carnivora articles[edit]

I like the edits that you are making to a number of Carnivora articles. You are making useful additions and improving the accuracy. But can I make a couple of suggestions.

1. Make edit summaries to explain what you are doing, especially when making more substantial changes. I assume it was you under a different IP address that made the changes to the Viverridae article that were reverted. If you had explained what you were doing these changes would not have been reverted (not by me). Adding them back under a different IP with a misleading edit summary (here) is not appropriate. These things should be discussed on the talk page rather than getting into edit wars (WP:EW).

2. Sign up for an account so you can have a single talk page where people can discuss your edits. The account can be anonymous (like mine). Another advanatage is that people assume good faith with signed up users whereas edits made by IP editors are treated with more suspicion and are more likely to be reverted because, unfortunately, there are a lot of vandals editing wikiepedia articles.

Anyway, welcome to Wikipedia. You are making some valuable contributions and it would benefit everyone if these don't get reverted for lack of explanation and references.   Jts1882 | talk  09:03, 16 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
