This is in regards to the architect Wallace W. DeLong. I've been conducting research on him for over a year. I will soon be writing a Wikipedia article about him. I thought I would first see what articles Wikipedia had that pertained to him. I found a few and updated them. Unfortunately, there are a few things on the internet that have mistakenly used the name Delong or De Long. Everything that I've seen indicates that the true spelling is DeLong. Every add he ever took out in the Appleton Daily Crescent newspaper gave the name DeLong. Every time his name was mentioned in the local paper, it was listed as DeLong. Every time he appeared at a city council meeting, the official write up listed his name as DeLong. And, his official obituary in the Appleton Post Crescent and the Oshkosh Northwestern gave the name as Wallace W. DeLong. His obituary appears in the Oshkosh Daily Northwestern September 21, 1938. The Wisconsin State Historical Society has all but 7 of his buildings under the name DeLong. I've asked them to correct the 7 entries and they said they would correct them next week. I would like to get this issue taken care of before I write my Wikipedia article. I'm going to write the article under the name Wallace W. DeLong, because that is truly his name.
