Welcome[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (38.111.224.42) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on this page. Again, welcome! — SpikeToronto 06:48, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Edit Summaries[edit]

Information icon.svg

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. — SpikeToronto 06:48, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Sociological and cultural aspects of Tourette syndrome[edit]

Thank you for the addition, which I have reverted. Please review WP:BLP, WP:NN, WP:MEDMOS and WP:MEDRS; I have found nothing to source your addition of Jack Karlovac. Because this is a BLP issue, he should not be added unless 1) he meets Wiki's notability requirements, and 2) his Tourette's can be cited to a high-quality source. Also, congratulations to him are unencyclopedic. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:20, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

March 2010[edit]

Information.svg Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to Oreophrynella nigra, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article.  Mephistophelian 01:24, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Information.svg Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Oreophrynella nigra. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you.  Mephistophelian 01:49, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Information.svg Welcome to Wikipedia. The project's content policies require that all articles be written from a neutral point of view, and not introduce bias or give undue weight to viewpoints. Please bear this in mind when making edits such as your recent edit to Rikkyo University. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. — SpikeToronto 06:44, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Keon (given name), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Hello, I'm YodaRULZ. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to File:Smalfut.jpg because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! YodaRULZ (talk) 03:10, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
