[edit]

Hi, I reverted again your linking of centuries in this edit: [1], and the same edit previously: [2]. Please see MOS:DATELINK. I have also advised you several times (or at least tried to) about other issues like MOS:OVERLINKING of common words etc., as you did for example here: [3]. Note that repeatedly making edits that go against the Manual of Style, or simply repeating the same edit many times when you see that others disagree, can lead to you being blocked from editing. It would really be good if you could make an account since you're editing so much. Wikipedia is meant to be a collaborative effort, and that sometimes requires communication. It's difficult to communicate with you because your IP number, and thus your talk page, changes so often. It also means you don't get notifications when someone has reverted one of your edits, with the explanation, or see warnings that people have left on talk pages of your other IPs. In general you can be blocked after ignoring four warnings, so it's in your interest that you don't miss them. Thanks for your understanding... --IamNotU (talk) 14:22, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for letting me know IamNotU. I acknowledged that other editors will disagree with me on some parts of my edits, I don't mean to repeat the same edit many times, but yes you are right, the edits I think (very subjectively I know) are made in error based on the research I've done, I tend to over "correct" them, I should be more balanced with it, I'm even thinking this as I'm overcorrecting edits, so I need to get out of that bad habit. With overlinking of common words, I tend to think about people who might not speak fluent English or native speakers have poor vocab, but you are right I get too overboard with it. The Sicilians page is the only page I've edited, so I may not create an account if I'm not thinking of editing any further pages or projects, but definitely will create one in order to make communication with other users easier. I've also researched the manual style of wikia formatting, and the appropriate methodology on how to best present the layout of information. I'm happy with the way the Sicilians page is edited for now, once the page has an adequate amount of sourced links and external sources for its material, it would be a good idea to lock it up so we can stop unnecessary WP:Plagiarism, and prevent WP:Vandalism. 49.188.84.143 (talk) 07:25, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
