Hai! I am Prabhavathi.My birth place is a small village named "GARANI" coming under Madhugiri Taluk, Tumkur District, Karnataka. In my village there is one very very old temple dedicated to Lord Siva by name -Someswara- "dating back to Chola kings-which is in dilapidated condition. One water body called cholarayanakere which is the source for agriculture and one old Anjaneya temple constructed by Chola kings in that Garani village. Apart from this, One more completely destroyed temple- with Basava on the heap available indicating that this temple also was constructed by Cholas. My ancestors used to tell us that beneath Basava there is huge hidden treasure. Also there is one more hill near Garani which is called Bhuthanagudda which is guarded by snakes and ghosts protecting the treasure in it.
Nearby Garani village, there is one more hillock called Ramadevarabetta(Ramagiri) where one Ashram(Ramashram of Deceased Savithramma-founder), Gou shala, Gobar gas plant etc. These things which are worth to be preserved, protected and developed are totally neglected.
