[edit]Hey, I saw your recent edit at Thai greeting where you edited that "sawasdee" is wrong and mistaken romanization. Although you may be correct, I suggest you to back it with sources, and if you don't find any explicit source, you may start a discussion at talk page regarding it. I have reverted it as of now, but it is stored in history, so no need to worry. Hope you find this helpful. ExclusiveEditor Notify Me! 13:50, 27 February 2024 (UTC)
- But this is just silly. It's a spelling mistake, it's as simple as that. If I say that the English word for seven days is spelled 'week' and not 'weak', I don't need to back it up with sources, that's just the way it is.
- The Thai letter (actually letters plural because there are several) for S is pronounced T at the end of a word - so if you transliterate it as S and not T, it's wrong. There are no sources for this, it's just a rule of Thai spelling that can be found in every book about Thai writing ever written, including those for Thai children and those for foreigners learning Thai. How can I give a source for this? 62.151.237.43 (talk) 11:06, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- One clarification here - I should say at the end of any syllable and not just at the end of a word. But the point stands. 62.151.237.43 (talk) 11:07, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
