Certainly! I don't mean to discourage your editing, but please make sure that you find verifiable sources for any information you add. Wikipedia relies on such citations to ensure that its articles are encyclopedic. For example, in the I-86 article, the 32 miles in Tioga County is directly pulled from the newspaper article, but your additions about Broome County are not, and would require another citation stating that before they can be added. Ok, I found a source. It's literally the official booklet on Interstate standards.

That's fine for discussing how future designated segments need to connect to an existing Interstate, but it does not support the Broome County claim at all. Ok, I assumed that didn't need a source as long as it said "wasn't planned for conversion yet" since that doesn't say why it's not planned, so I wouldn't consider that speculative.

Not to keep harping on the same note, but you keep making the same incorrect edit. I-81 does not intersect NY 17 in Tioga County, and the article states clearly that the 32 miles for designation are in Tioga County. Please stop editing that based solely on speculation. Unless you can find a citation that explicitly says that the section to be designated in 2019 will include portions in Broome County, and that this section will extend to I-81, then you cannot just add it in. Also, last I read, the I-86 designation will stop at NY 26 until NYSDOT and the FHWA come to an agreement about substandard exits and flood on-ramps at/near Exit 68. This means that even after Prospect Mountain is finished, there may be further work left before the I-86 designation can be approved. Vmanjr (talk) 05:17, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, a minor edit really refers to only typos (not incorrect facts), formatting fixes, and reversions for obvious vandalism. While you're not using the Wikipedia mechanism to indicate a minor update, it might be better if you don't use that in the edit summary as well for anything that doesn't fall under those categories.
