@StefenTower Hi, Stefen. I think it was last week, that the Kentucky Derby was bumping its purse, from $3 million, to $5 million, for this year's race. I saw it the New York Daily News. I also saw on equibase.com,

Thank you for the info. These are sources you or any editor can use to cite and thus back up the new stats. If you don't feel at ease doing that extra necessary part, you can always make a request to update the stats on the article's talk page, e.g. Talk:Kentucky Derby. Hope this helps.
