Request reason:

Dear MuZemike,

I want to try and appeal the block that has been set upon me. I just want to testify that I never intended to become a "Wikipedia Sockpuppet". Prior to my edits I was unfamiliar with your policies. I thought that I could just use any kind of book or website to testify a piece of information but I have found that this wasn't the case. I didn't mean to be so disruptive, truly. You see MuZemike I have a learning dissability and am rather obssessive compulsive and when I started editing it got to be so addicting that I just couldn't stop. That is the truth, I am not making it up. I confess that I did try hopping from various IP's and making other accounts but I found that the only made the problem worse and I shouldn't have done that. What I should've done was either appealed or dutifully served my block period. I don't wish to disrupt the site in anyway as I have done so unintentionally and I apologize for all the trouble I've caused. I just want to make it clear, as I did the the statement above this message, that I didn't mean to cause this disruption purpously and I certainly don't want to find myself in any legal trouble.

I read the websites guides to appealing blocks and it stated that it is proper to put forth the requests from the account of the sockpuppet however in this case since I have made more then one account and they unded up as being categorized like that I don't think it would make sense to make appeals on all of the old accounts so I'm chosing to make my appeal like this just from the IP itself. Another reason that I ask that the appeal be blocked is that the IP is actually shared within my home on the internet connected to my parents and sibling and although they don't take an interest in Wikipedia editing it only makes sense that they should be allowed to use it if they should ever want to add their knowledge on a specific topic.

When I am unblocked I promise you that I am not going to cause as much problems as I have. All I wanted to do was add trivia and other knowledge that I thought would help the articles of specific actors/actresses that I enjoy. I am big on classic film and its many actors and actresses which is why I tried to add information to certain ones. My reason for going to Laraine Day's page she was an actress who was revered in her day but now is rather underrated and I found some information that I thought would not only help her page but also give people more information about her. I do have a quote, that will come with a citation, in which she states that she was a registered Republican and I only tried to edit her page was actually out of guilt that I had added information there and that it had been taken down and I felt bad for having been a part of some of the deletion. I guess you can say I wanted to make amends to her. It is a passion I have.

Following the end of my block, whenever that maybe, I think it would be wise to talk to you or another administrator to see if it is something that could be used in the article. That statement does not just pertain the Laraine Day's page but to many others as well. Please believe what I say and please accept my sincerest apology's and believe me when I say that I want to improve and not cause anymore unintentional disruption here as I have already caused. Decline reason:

This does not address the reason(s) for your block under your various accounts and IPs, let alone convince us that these reasons are no longer current.  Sandstein  22:40, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired.

If what you said in the first paragraph is correct, then I strongly recommend that you seek professional help. –MuZemike 00:07, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

I didn't expect to see a response so fast, the information is the first paragraph was correct but it isn't as severe as you think it is. I guess you can say I was kind of like a kid who fell in love with a toy and played with it. I don't need professional help but I thank you for your concern. I just didn't understand the rules of Wikipedia at the time, that's all. I'm fine, really. (talk) 00:13, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Is my block appeal approved or denied? (talk) 01:11, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

I stand by the block I have made. Another administrator will review the block in due time. –MuZemike 07:10, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Alright, MuZemike. I thank you for your time and I will dutifully serve out my block. Again I'm sorry for any trouble I caused and you need not worry about me. I am perfectly healthy. (talk) 12:42, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

You state in your unblock request that you have edited from various other accounts. Before considering an unblock here we would need to know which accounts these were. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 16:14, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Okay, Anthony Bradbury. The other accounts were: Josh Rumage, Selma Simpson, James Sempier, and Michaela Power 2011. I thank you for both your time and consideration and again I apologize for my edits having transpired into this, they were unintentional. Believe me when I say that. (talk) 16:30, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

You have missed out at least two accounts, plus a number of IPs which you may not have recorded. I was looking for a more open disclosure. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 20:20, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I am afraid I don't remember the other IPs and I honestly can't remember what other two accounts there were. (talk) 20:25, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

I Will Wait[edit]

Since my block appeal was denied I think it is better that I wait the one year period. I promise that I will be good and not cause anymore violations of this block. I will not remove the block above because the directions say not to while I'm blocked. I'm be back in a year and I hope to make amends for the uintentional disruption I caused here. When I do return they'll be more questions and better research when I edit articles. Till then, I thank you all for your time and I extend my best wishes. (talk) 22:44, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

I am still waiting[edit]

To those of you who think I've violating my block I wish to inform you that you are wrong. I haven't been hopping to other IP's for quite sometime now, I am afraid the recent edits of the articles in question we're most likely done by someone else coincidently. I am still serving out my time with the block I wish to make that known. Besides there are a handful of other people intrested in editing pages for older film stars here on the site. I just wanted to make that known so that you don't think I'm causing anymore problems. (talk) 01:02, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

I Won't Be Back[edit]

I am officially done with both Wikipedia and the Wikipedia Commons. A week ago I joined the commons and I decided to contribute to photographs of various classic film actors and after uploaded two today I was labeled as a "sock" and every one of my uploads were deleted. ALL THAT WORK FOR NOTHING!!! Wikipedia is really a source where nobody can edit and let me tell you something else; this whole "sockpuppet" thing, if you are going to block people for trying to add information (even information that is perfectly legit like my edits were) then you are on the false advertising bandwagon when you say that anyone can edit here. Don't even bother responding back to this because I will not respond nor will I ever be back. You are all the most bias people I've ever interracted with and I am sharing my wisdom for classic films and its various stars on more reputable sites that appreciate and use my edits (i.e. IMDb, NNDb, Flixster, etc.) Despite what you may think of me I know that I am NOT a so called Wikipedia Sockpuppet. I was just an individual trying to incorporate my legitimate knowledge about something I had a deep personal passion for. You are no longer worthy of my vast knowledge and I am not going to waste my time trying to please a site whose people and rules are as unappreciative as you. And by the way, in the future when you find edits on the actors pages I so called "targeted" it'll be by someone else not me. So long and good riddance! (talk) 02:19, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
