August 2012[edit]

Hello, I'm Dr.pragmatist. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Professor Hershel Layton without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. The removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. доктор прагматик 01:39, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
I should have been more clear the section contains speculation regarding the origin of his name (ie suggesting that Laytons first name and uses the term may very often without any evidence. For ezample stating that his name is related to a German name for deer, and that is could be a reference to Layton's nimble thinking. Several more ideas were also offered and none of them have any evidence to support it. In short I should have stated that the main problem is not the lack of sources but the fact that the section is pure speculation with no evidence to back it up. I agree that we should not remove sections simply for being unsourced but I don't think we should keep this section.-- (talk) 01:46, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
I think I will remove it again but will make the reason of the removal more clear. If you still have a problem feel free to add it back again since I have no intention to cause trouble.-- (talk) 01:50, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
since you put the reference tag on I will wait a bit to see if anything is added. I have my doubts but I a willing to wait a while to see if anything can be added.-- (talk) 01:56, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
