Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will try to answer your questions as best as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Bobjim45 (talk) 06:58, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

February 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page List of The Batman characters has been reverted.
Your edit here to List of The Batman characters was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed ( is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to an external Wiki, then please note that these links should generally not be included (see 'links to avoid' #12).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 05:55, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice.

Template edit[edit]

I'm quite puzzled about this edit. While I see you changed it to a bulleted list, I don't see what change it created on the actual template. Could you explain this to me? Thanks. HuskyHuskie (talk) 02:26, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

It's an internal code change that isn't intended to change the way the template appears on screen. It is a (relatively--not sure how recent)(OK, near as I can tell, discussion began about a year ago, with implementation in November, with some final issues resolved in the past few weeks) new standard many people are converting templates to (EG this user or this other user or this one), for increased accessibility (specifically screen-readers for the visually impaired), as stated (albeit very briefly--EG it doesn't specifically explain that the data must be one-per-line--although I've actually previously also seen pre-hlist templates done one-per-line as it arguably makes it easier to find things in the code, especially if there are lots of dense sections) at WP:HLIST. Hope that makes sense. (talk) 05:35, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
Makes perfect sense. Thanks for explaining. HuskyHuskie (talk) 16:18, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
