I believe you write this in sincerity. I am one of those heavily deterred from being on Wikipedia, as are 100s of female musicologists, composers, and professors that I personally know that find the site heavily biased against women. It is why women don't recommend the site, it is why we engage in projects on a monthly basis to counterbalance the bias.

Listen, I really am not as obnoxious as I write. Sigh.

And honest question, I wanted to work on other composer pages but feel like interactions here might HURT other pages, especially since people are flagging my work left and right. Thats my honest concern. Is the interaction on this one page going to affect interactions on other pages? I am just learning the site. I thought i got the hang of it, to an extent. And really, it was the comments in an earlier thread against marginalized groups not knowing what they are doing that really just set the tone for the convo. I don't even think it was in our convo. Going to see about doing some other pages and see how that goes. Sorry again for the time drain.

If you were actually contributing to articles, this would probably not be an issue. Honestly, the easiest way to put this all in the rear-view mirror is to make some positive contributions to articles—and preferably articles other than Peña Young, to really prove you're here for the good of the whole project.

The problem is, over about a month, I've seen maybe 200 bytes of contributions toward the Peña Young article. The rest of your (project's) edits have been removal of the COI tag (placed as a result of paid editing) and talk-page disruption over another user's comments—a user whose on-wiki behaviour doesn't show obvious faults. As has been explained before, we don't go trawling for off-wiki connections. Compound that with the fact that it's a multitude of IPs making the edits, and it certainly initially gave the appearance that the IPs are here with an agenda related to the Peña Young article. —C.Fred (talk) 12:28, 13 May 2022 (UTC)

Just because I don't always log in doesn't mean I am not making contributions. However, as many women who have attempted to work in the Wikipedia space have experienced, there are issues with male editors immediately shutting down female editors (as was an issue on another music article I was working on a month ago). What contributions have you made? I don't see where you've done anything outside the Peña Young article. (Granted, you're editing from an IP, so it's about impossible to connect all your edits, but the simple observation is that whenever I've seen a Buffalo IP editing the Peña Young article, the only article they should any interest in is hers.)
