Hello, I'm TCMemoire. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Porn (disambiguation) seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. TCMemoire 20:25, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@TCMemoire We must not give the impression that Wikipedia somehow supports pornography. 78.208.18.72 (talk) 20:27, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello there, I do understand your concern. I advise you to please read this part of our policy: WP:NOTCENSORED, as well as our policy on offensive material. Although Wikipedia does have content that may be disturbing or offensive, we treat everything with as neutral a view as possible. Best, TCMemoire 20:30, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Please do not remove information from articles, as you did to Dominatrix. Wikipedia is not censored, and content is not removed on the sole grounds of perceived offensiveness. Please discuss this issue on the article's talk page to reach consensus rather than continuing to remove the disputed material. If the content in question involves images, you also have the option to configure Wikipedia to hide the images that you may find offensive. Thank you. TCMemoire 20:34, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

For religious and ethic reasons I find inappropriate the use of pornography by Wikipedia. @TCMemoire 78.211.37.82 (talk) 18:35, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I certainly understand where you are coming from, but again, I have to point to our policy. There is content everywhere in the world that we may object to, but it still exists. Wikipedia is only a collection of world knowledge--whether that be good, bad, vulgar, and anything in between. Wikipedia does not censor things, but what we do include is only meant to educate and inform on the topic being written about, never just because we can, or because we endorse it. In extreme cases, we have indeed removed offensive material, but that is a decision made by the community as a whole here. The best I can suggest is to avoid articles that may not be suitable for you. TCMemoire 15:58, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
