March 2008[edit]

Hi, the recent edit you made to Biota of the Isle of Man has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Hi.I reverted your edits because of this part of the Manual of Style. While Latin is universally used in the field of biology, Manx probably isn't. Will (talk) 20:02, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sceptre, I understand where you are coming from, but Manx is used in the Isle of Man and by having Manx in this list it is helpful to those who don't know the Latin or English terms, and helps identify exactly what species the list refers to. Some people do only know the Manx names of some species on the Isle of Man, especially when it comes to plants. Thanks 78.86.130.185 (talk) 18:01, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

signing[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. StuartDD contributions 15:53, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
