Yes, I concur about the IP not being open. Though it's unusual for people to edit from dedicated servers, it is not inherently bad. Since this is not an open proxy, the concern would be that the server was being used to anonymise the IP of a blocked user and allow them to evade other blocks, for example. However, having looked closely I'm satisfied here that the scope for abuse is limited. I'll notify the blocking admin. -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:14, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for looking into this. I might not know much about patterns of wikipedia vandalism but I always pictured content to be more important than identity around here. I prefer 'anonymity' to user handles to emphasize content. My comment about abuse is to be seen from a rather anarchist point of view, so the bar for perceiving abuse of power is very low but I can see this remark offending someone who is trying to prevent vandalism and want to tone it down. 18.104.22.168 (talk) 17:45, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
- Per Zzuuzz. I'm okay with an unblock. However, the block was not abusive. 18:33, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Secure Sockets Layer virtual private network
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Secure Sockets Layer virtual private network. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Secure Sockets Layer virtual private network. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:05, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address.
